Last Day of School!

This school year really has gone by fast.  The girls had a great year!  It started out a little rough for Olivia and I didn't think we were going to make it to school or though school without tears the whole year but her teacher really was wonderful and helped her adjust and after a few months she was fine...it also helped when she got a best friend in her class, Mia.  Then Mia moved which was sad but Olivia quickly found a new best friend Leah and ended the year great :)

(note to self: add report card and teacher comments in blog book.  I don't think everyone wants to read about all that kind of stuff.)

Madi went to a cookie party after school so I didn't get a picture with her and her BFF.

Green's Lake House

Friday after the kids got out of school we went down to the Green's Lake House and spent the night.  It was a fun quick get away. A few highlights...we went fishing and I caught my 1st fish and it just so happened Jason caught a fish at the same time.  All our kids wanted to hold the fish.  They really liked reeling them in, holding them and then throwing them back.  The kids found a bunch of snails in the water in their shells so they liked collecting those and lining them up on the dock.  They couldn't wait to go swimming so even though it wasn't really hot and it was over cast they still went swimming.  BJ and Jason went golfing.  Kristen and I talked and watched the kids.  Jack and Austin were best buddies.  They all got a canoe ride.  Oh and Olivia threw up all over their nice white carpet at 1:20 in the morning and then told me she felt much better.  :)  and Jason and I didn't get much sleep at all (Jason's on night shift so his body is used to being up from 2:30pm-6:30am so he was roaming the house all night. Or was trying to go to bed while I was snoring.  I was trying to be nice so I tried sleeping on the floor but that didn't work so I was up all night worried about him not sleeping. plus every time he tried rolling me over to stop my snoring I woke up.)   It was really fun though. We left late Saturday night to come home.  We wish we could have stayed longer but we had church and we couldn't sleep like that again.

-Motherhood-

"It’s the highest, holiest service assumed by humankind. It’s the definition of selfless service. It’s both a daunting responsibility and a glorious opportunity. The divine role of motherhood is a gift from God, and key to His plan of happiness for all His children."

Ward Talent Show

Last year Savannah, Madilynn and Olivia all sang "Jesus Is My Shepherd" for our Ward Talent Show.  I wasn't thinking and forgot my camera.  It was really cute though and they did a really good job I was proud of them for getting up in front of a crowd of people and doing that.

This year since a bunch of kids wanted to sing "Let it Snow" from the Disney movie "Frozen" we as a Primary Presidency decided to have a "Let it Snow" Choir.  Our 2nd Counselor had been practicing it on the piano and wanted to face her fear and play it so for Sundays before the show whom ever wanted to sing it stayed after church and practiced.  It turned out really cute, I really liked the piano version of the song.  Madilynn, Olivia and Austin all sang in it, it was really cute.  It was funny because Austin was in the back and all you could see was his head going up and down because when he gets excited he jumps. :)

Savannah decided there were too many kids doing it and she wanted the spotlight to herself so she chose to dance.  She used one of her old tap song, "Locomotion", and made up a new dance to go with it.  She did a great job.  I glad she stuck with her decision and didn't back down even when she was practicing and it got hard to think of what to do next.
