warm weather

Yeah for Warm Weather!

It has been nice weather here in Iowa and we have been taking advantage of it. It rainnded this morning but never really got cold so went out to play this afternoon.

Olivia LOVES being outside the second you tell her to get her shoes she starts getting excited and runs out the door as soon as it opens.

It helps my mood too, I love how it stays light outside later.

get away!

(view from our room)

This past weekend we decided to get away. Jason got off early on Friday so we decieded to go up to Kings Pointe at Storm Lake. I saw it a month ago on the internet and then some friends went and said it was fun so we pack up and went for a quick get away.

It was a beautiful hotel that has only been open for a few years. It sits on a lake, Storm Lake, which is still frozen a little bit but looked beautiful when we arrived at sunset. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor waterpark, we obviously only went to the indoor one but would love to go back in the summer for the outdoor park. It was a great quick get away and the girls loved it. It was fun to watch the girls play. Savannah was like a mermaid (not a fish) and loved when I called her one. She had her life jacket on and just went and did her own thing. Madi liked but was a little scared, she loved the waterside but they only let her go down once because she was too little. Olivia did okay she didn't mind the water as long as she wasn't getting her face wet. Jason was just like a kid, he rode on the slides, sprayed kids with the water, and played basketball. And I just enjoyed being together as a family and watching everyone have a great time.

We wish the weather would have been better on Saturday so we could have gone on a walk by the lake and played at the park but it was raining when we woke up and it was really cold so maybe next time.

If any of you live here and would like a fun get away you should try it out.

"compalation"

"Compalation"...

I know I know, you are thinking what is that word...this is Savannah's word she uses when she is playing and wants to sound smart. It is so cute she will be talking to her imaginary friends/students and will just use that word every once in a while in her sentences. It makes me laugh every time I hear her say it.
