ballerina
So for a couple of years Savannah has wanted to take ballet so that she can learn how to stand on her toes and she has been telling people that when she grows up she wants to be a Ballerina teacher, on Thursday that dream of hers came true...she had her first formal dance lesson.
She loved it, but when she first came out I asked her how it was and she said, "it wasn't even long and we didn't even learn a dance." so I had to explain some things to her and then she was off teaching her sisters what she had learned.

when did she get so big?
It seems like just yesterday I was holding you as a newborn in the hospital. What a spiritual, happy, emotional, scary moment that was. You changed our life forever and bring so much joy into our family. Thanks for being you.
WE LOVE YOU!

1st day
Wednesday was Savannah's 1st day of Kindergarten. She was so excited even though I told her I was going to cry. She had a great day and yes I did cry.
A week before I took her shopping for a new shirt that she could pick out all by herself for the first day, then we had a few Family Nights on safety and what to expect at school, and then the night before Jason gave her a Father's blessing (which was very nice and comforting. Even the next day after we dropped her off Madi said "I can't wait to go to school and have dad put his hands on my head.") and to end summer we went for ice cream.
When I asked her what her favorite part was she said "everything, except recess because it was too hot." Jason said that won't last long it will soon become her favorite subject. But her "best thing" was her "locker because it is like High School Musical." (Monday before school I took her to see her class and meet her teacher and the first thing she noticed was her locker and the first thing she told Madi about when she got home. She also thought it was really cool that the school had a library in it.)
It is kind of hard getting used to her being gone all day and I can't believe she is old enough to go to school but she LOVES it and she LOVES to learn.

"Wow, a doctor!"
Jason's experience the other day in the Hospital...
While waiting for the elevator the other day, a little boy saw me and said “Wow, a doctor! I want to be a doctor someday too! I bet he makes a ton of money!” I stood there feeling good until the mother leaned over and said “he’s a resident which means he doesn’t make any money at all.” Thanks lady for smacking me right back to earth.

summer in a glance
Here is a little video from the Balloon Festival (it starts off a little rough but ends okay...I was trying to hold Austin and film at the same time.) The girls went down and got on stage with the band and did a little dancing.
Not to mention catching fireflies, playing games and dancing in the backyard after dinner and staying awake all night listening to the rolling thunder and rain hopeing your basement dosen't flood.
We had a wonderful summer even if it was the first summer we didn't get to go back to Utah to see family. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
(If you think this is a lot of pictures I cut a lot out that I wanted to share, so count your blessings)
