starting the yard

We hired a landscaper to do our yard and since the weather is staying nice we decided to get started on some things.  We got all of the sprinkling lines in so in the spring they just have to hook them up and fine tune them.  We also had a the cement poured for our back patio, hot tub and the basketball court then Jason and I put up the hoop...we were going to wait on that part too but the weather kept being really nice so we put it up.

Austin loved watching the men work and one day went out with his blanket and watched the guy build up and pound the dirt to make it level for the patio. :)

We are very happy with the work and can't wait for spring when it all gets finished!

1st visitors

Grandpa and grandma Jensen and Grandpa and grandma Allen came out and visited us for 6 days (October 21-October 26th).
It was so much fun to show them around our new home and our new town.  We are glad they took the time to come visit...we know it is a long drive.
We also had a great time laughing and playing the jelly bean game grandma brought.

soccer soccer soccer soccer

Soccer has been our life for the last 8 weeks.  Having all four kids play, each having practice on a different night and then games and throw school and homework in there and that is what we have been doing.

It has been fun watching them and they have enjoyed playing and meeting new kids in the community.  Soccer is life up here in South Dakota which made it a little hard at times since the kids haven't been playing since they could walk.  Savannah could only go to 1 practice a week because the other one was on Sunday and we decided as a family that sports no matter how important will not be played on Sunday, but it turned out fine and they all did a good job.
