Ice Skating lessons

The kids really liked ice skating last year so we signed them up for lessons again.  They learned some more things and it gave them something to do in the winter.

Bismark, ND

The day after Thanksgiving, we drove up to Bismark, North Dakota to go to the temple (3 hours).  Jason had been there a few times to do baptisms for the dead with the youth but the rest of us had never been. Jason drove everyone by the temple when we first got there so we could see it.  It is a small temple on a really small little lot but beautiful.

Then we went to a teppanyaki restuarant were they cooked the food right in front of us.  The kids really enjoyed it!  The cook was very fun and entertaining.

We did a little shopping around town.  Savannah was took cool for Santa this year.
We ended up at an insta-care later that day because Madi had strep throat.
That night we left the kids at the hotel and went to the Temple and did a sessions. It was really nice to be in the temple again, especially with Jason.
After swimming at the pool the next morning we did a little more shopping and headed home.
It was a nice little trip!

Thanksgiving

This year we had a big poster where every day in November we wrote what we were thankful for.

We had a delicious meal.  Then later the kids played in the new snow.

Savannah's violin recital

Savannah had a violin recital with her private teacher.  She did an excellent job!  So proud of her, all her practicing is paid off.  She played "Go Tell Aunt Rhode" while her teacher played the piano.

hunting and fishing

Jason go invited to go hunting with some men in the ward.  It was actually an warmer day and he wasn't on call so he jumped at the chance.  They got a few pheasants but they gave them all to one guy.  Then they decided since it wasn't the greatest hunting they would go fishing and that was successful.  He brought home walleye which none of us had eaten before and everyone really liked it even Olivia and mom.

Veteran's Day

Madi tried out for the elementary school district wide choir and made it.  They had their 1st concert at a Veteran's Day assembly and did a wonderful job.  They sang the National Anthem and 2 other songs.  I couldn't believe it for a group of elementary kids they sounded really good.
It was a neat assembly too, were they recognized all the people who have been in the Military and there families.  We live and a great country and we am grateful for those who have given their lives to keep it great and free.

Madi's 10th Birthday!!!

10 YEARS OLD!!! My how time flies.  You are getting so grown up, I can't believe you were once just a tiny little baby.  But even though you are getting bigger one thing hasn't changed since you were a baby and that is that you are always happy and smiling.  We love you and you will always be our Madi girl...no matter how old you are.
