Happy Birthday Grandma Lois!

We are so glad that you are apart of our family, even if it has only been for 1 1/2 years. We know you make our grandpa very happy, thanks for being such a good part of his live. We Love You!

Utah -Week 3 June 26th-July 2nd

Sunday the 26th after church and Austin's 1st time going into nursery, we had a HUGE family dinner at my parent's house. There were 46 people from 7 different states (Utah, Florida, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Iowa and Idaho). It was so fun to see my family again, it has been a really long time since we all have been together.

Monday the 27th we headed up to BEAR LAKE for the week the first part of the week my mom's siblings and some of my cousins came up and then the second part of the week my siblings came up for the 4th of July weekend. We had a great time and I thought by the time the full week was over I would be ready to go home but really I could have stayed. We did miss Jason though.

Tuesday the 28th we headed to the beach the water is up so high we had to drive to North Beach everyday. Austin with his Great Grandpa LeCheminant

Grandpa LeCheminant. This is the whitest he has been in his whole life. When I was young he was always dark he was one that would sit in the sun all the day with sun tan OIL.

Wednesday the 29th the lake was rough so we decided to go to Ideal Beach and swim in the pool. My mom's aunt and uncle have a place there and they let us in. We kind of over took the pool but had a great time going down the slide and playing keep away...boys against girls. We had to leave after it started raining.

So we came back to the cabin and went 4-wheeling. Austin loves the 4-wheeler and grandpa loved teaching him how to drive it. From that time on he wanted to ride them, if no one was riding them he would sit on them in the garage and try to drive them.

Later that night we took the boat out and went tubing. It was cold but the water wasn't rough. The kids had a GREAT time.

Thursday the 30th my mom's family left slowly so we took a lot of pictures...who knows when this will happen again. It was really fun to be with my grandpa, we don't see him a lot and it was great to talk to him.
My kids and I with my Grandpa LeCheminant (age 79, in 3 days).

Grandpa with all his kids

Jenny (my cousin) and Olivia. Olivia just loves Jenny, she made Jenny her best friend whether she liked it or not but she is so sweet you would never know if she cared or not. Thanks Jenny for being Olivia's friend.

Later that day we went to the Minnetonka Caves. It was a lot of fun, my kids first time in a cave. I had to leave early with Austin because he wanted to walk and that just wasn't an option.

Then Grandpa taught Austin how to drive the backhoe or "tactor" as Austin would say. Ya he wouldn't get off that either but you wouldn't either if your grandpa taught you how to move the buck up and down and you are only 1 1/2 years old.

the girls wanted in on the fun too.

Friday we went to the again, this time it was with my siblings and their kids.
Savannah, Madi and my mom and Austin out in the canoes...I couldn't believe that my girls could actually paddle those things. They had a great time on them...Austin not so much, in fact he didn't even really like the water or the beach...

he did like driving the boat though and again grandpa taught him how to make it go faster which he thought was the BEST!

I just love this picture of Little Tate.

I skied for the 1st time in 3 years. I always was pregnant and so I wasn't able but this year since I'm NOT pregnant I decided to try even though I didn't think I could since I am 30 pounds heavier but I got up on my 3rd try and was very excited. (Don't mind my big white legs just be glad I got up. :))

My brother Jeff and Savannah wakeboarding. She loved it and loved her "fancy leg" even more.
Jeff and Madi wakeboarding. She loved it just as much...both wakeboarding and her "fancy leg".
Both my brother are good wakeboarders doing flips and all kinds of fun things so that was fun for my kids to watch too. Spencer (my brother-in-law) is starting to do pretty good too getting so big air. Jason, I'm not sure he hasn't been for years...hopefully next year.

Then we skied Savannah again...she skied 2 years ago but hasn't done it since. She did a great job.
Madi tried but tip over sideways and then said she was too cold and would try the next day.
Olivia said she wanted to do it, the picture show how far she got. But hey I was shocked that she said she wanted to try...

She did tube though which was GREAT for her.

Saturday, July 2nd We had another GREAT day on the lake...

I wakeboarded, nothing fancy but I did get up :), Savannah skied again and so did Madi but that deserves it's own post so that will come later.

Utah -Week 2 June 19th-25th

Sunday June 19th -Father's Day!
Jason was alone in Iowa while we spent a little time visiting grandpa Jensen and then went and had dinner with my dad's side of the family who I haven't see in a few years. Later that night all my sibling got together and spent some time together.
(Picture of my brothers and my dad)

Monday June 20th First we went out to my brother's house so that Savannah could go to lunch with Riley again. She loved it so much last time we decided to do it again. Well this turned out to be the worst part of her trip and she hates to talk about it. Everything was going great until she spilled blueberry something all over her brand new outfit from Grandma Jensen. When I went to pick her up she burst into tears and said "everyone is telling me it is going to stain". So when we got back to my brothers she put on some of Riley's clothes and my mom and I started scrubbing trying anything we could. Kristie look up on the internet and found some solutions the only one we dared to try was Hydrogen Peroxide which finally worked. Even though she didn't have fun the other kids had a great time playing.
After we drove to Salt Lake to see Temple Square with my sister and her little girl Bailee.

Tuesday, June 21- We just stayed home it was so nice to just do my laundry and hang out. Later that night my parents took the girls to DQ to get ice cream, then after I had put the girls to bed around 9:30pm I went looking for Austin and found him and my dad outside eating popsicles.

Wednesday, June 22- I went to the Bountiful Temple while my mom watched my kids. Then I meet my friends at the park that afternoon to catch up on things and to let our kids play. (I wish I had a picture of my friends.)

Thusday, June 23- Our 12th Anniversary, the first day Jason has off in months, the first year he hasn't had to work and we are apart. What are the chances? I am not sure what Jason did except relax and sleep in but my mom and I took my kids down to the Manti Pagent. My aunt and uncle live down there (and all my cousins are in the pagent, they also have a farm and so my kids got to hold the kittens, feed the lambs, and see the calves, chickens horses, and dogs.) so we decided to go to the pagent and then spend the night at their house after the pagent since it doesn't start until 9:30pm and goes til almost 11pm. I wasnt' sure how my kids would do but they LOVED it and watched the whole thing. They still talk about how great it was. Austin did have a little melt down about 15 minutes before it was over. We just happened to be on about row 10 or 15 and he started screaming and cried the whole way to the back but as soon as I got to the back he didn't move he sat in the stoller the whole time until it was over.

Friday, June 24- We went back to the temple to take some pictures, then went and took balloons to my cousins grave. She died back in May 2003 at the age of 17 and I am not sure if I had ever seen her headstone before.

Saturday, June 25- we went to the Syracuse Parade with my brother Jeff and his two little boys Josh and Tate. Then went shopping to get ready for the next weeks fun.

Then just in case the kids got bored, my parent bought bikes for the girls and a stroller for Austin to push around they couldn't find a blue one so he got pink...he didn't care he just loves to push things around. They loved them!

Utah -Week 1 June 12th-June 18th

Left for Utah on Saturday June 11th at 6pm after Savannah and I got home from her Dance Recital. Drove for 16 hours arrived around 9:30am at Jason's parents. Jason took a nap.

Dropped kids off at my parents house at 3pm. They spent the night while Jason and I went to celebrate our 12 anniversary...no kids for 24 hours is about all we had money for.

Monday night we had Family pictures with my family. And dinner afterwards.

Tuesday we went to the Zoo with Grandpa and Grandma Jensen, Aunt Jen and Cole. While Jason and Shawn went to shooting.

Wednesday Jason's whole family went to the Dinosaur Muesum at Thanksgiving Point. Then later that night all of the adult siblings went to dinner while grandpa and grandma watched all the kids.

Thursday Jason and I and Shawn and Jen went bowling...

then that night ALL of Jason's family came for a big family dinner. Austin finally got to meet his great grandpa and grandma Spjut too.

4 generations of Spjut men.

Friday Jason had to fly home. It was a quick trip for him but a well needed one and it was hard to see him go.
Later that day I just went shopping and then hung out/relaxed at Grandpa and Grandma Jensen's.

Saturday we went to the Gateway to see the Chalk Festival and do some shopping. It was amazing what those people can do.
