Madilynn's Baptism

Madilynn turned 8 years old chose to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was baptized today, November 29, 2014.  It was a very special day and she was very excited! We are very pleased with her decision and for the Christ like attributes she has.

Her grandparents flew in for the special day. She also had friends and ward members there to share the day with her.

Since she was the only one being baptized that day she got to plan the whole program.   It went as follows, minus the pianist she had a family issue come up but that's ok was just sang without the piano.

Today we took Olivia to Claire's to get her ears pierced.  She was a little nervous but excited at the same time.  She loves them and looks very fancy.

decorating the tree

Since grandparents were in town, we had the tree already set up and decorated the tree after having our Thanksgiving dinner.
The last time we are setting up that tree too. That is not bitter sweet, it is just sweet.  It is beautiful but a pain to set up.  Next year a pre-lit tree is on the list. :)

Special Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for and family is one of them!

We had a very special Thanksgiving this year.  We had both grandma and grandpa Gardner and grandma and grandpa Jensen here.  It was so much fun to have them in our home and share with them the things we are thankful for.
It was also our last Thanksgiving in our home here in Iowa, which is bitter, sweet.

Interview in Utah

Jason had a job interview in Roosevelt, Utah this past week and the Hospital paid for the whole family to come out.  It was so much fun to see family again even though it was just for 4 quick days, November 13-16.
The kids stayed with grandparents while Jason and I were gone for 2 days then we had a few days to spend all together.

Madi's 8th Birthday!

Madi turned 8 years old today!  I know I always say this but time sure does fly.  She was born 3 months after we moved to Iowa and it seems just like yesterday.  She is such a joy in our family.  We love her very much!  She is still just as smiley as she was when she was born.

A few days before her birthday she got to go out to eat with her dad.  She choose Buffalo Wild Wings.  She ate lots of wings and lots of dessert, as you can tell from the picture.

Yesterday she had her friend birthday party which included all the things Madi loves.   We had after school snack, we played the present game, sang and danced to "Frozen" songs and had a photo booth.

Then today she opened presents and got her new scriptures.  She had a great day.  She is excited to be 8 years old and get baptized in a few weeks.
