Families are Forever

The kids had their Primary Program today and they all did a great job.  I had to help with it since I am the 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency for our Ward, but instead of me writing the whole thing I gave each class a topic and they all wrote their own part or some decided to sing.  Then I put it all together so it flowed.  It turned out really well.  They sang very good and everyone in the primary gave their parts with no crying.

Jason missed it because his back went out on him again.  But luckily he helped the week before subbing for a sick teacher so he did get to see it.

The kids parts

Austin:   My favorite thing to do with my family is go swimming.

Olivia:   My family follows the prophet by having Family Night every week.

Madilynn:   How should I be baptized?  D&C 20:74 explains that after the prayer has been said, "Then shall he immerse him or her in the water, and come forth again out of the water."  This means our whole body must go under the water.

Savannah: Priesthood ordinances bless and strengthen my family.  When I turned 8 years old my dad used his priesthood to baptize and confirm me a member of the church this was a special time for me and my family.  The priesthood also blesses my family when my dad gives me and my siblings a Father's blessing before school starts each year.

(She also sang the 1st verse of "I Love to See the Temple" with the girls in her class.)

Kansas City Temple Trip

Thanks to Alisha and Paul Dunlavy, Jason and I took a little temple trip down to Kansas City while they watched our kids over night and got them to and from school.

We left Tuesday after we dropped Austin off at Preschool around 11:45am.  Drove down to Kansas City and went to the 5:00pm temple session.  It is always nice and peaceful in the temple. I love going there especially with Jason.   It was a beautiful night after we got out the temple looked very pretty.

After the temple we went to Oklahoma Joe's because we heard it was the BEST barbeque place ever...We agree!  It was really the best ribs we have ever eaten.
We stayed the night at a hotel.  The next morning we ate more barbeque which didn't even compare to Oklahoma Joe's but we tried.

Then we went spent the rest of the Wednesday driving home and golfing.

It was fun to spend some alone time together.

Soccer

Austin had a good 1st soccer season.  He made few goals and really really enjoyed it.

Olivia had a good season too!  She made some goals and block a few too when she was goalie.

Madi was awesome!  The last 3 games she was the highest scorer on her team.  One game she made 5 goals!

It was fun to watch both Olivia and Madi on the same team.  They played hard every game and it showed. They did a great job!

Savannah played very good too!   She had goals and blocked goals.  She liked playing defender and goalie the best and really got good at all positions.  She put a lot of work into playing good and it showed.

This is our photo shoot after 6 weeks of  practice once a week and games every Saturday.  It was really crazy for those 6 weeks but fun to watch them play and enjoy themselves.  It was nice that Jason got to see most the games too.  We had a great time yelling and cheering them on.

After we had a little family game of soccer at an empty field.  :)
