Mother...

In my mind there is no better job than being a mother.  I'm so grateful that I am a mother, it brings me so much joy and happiness, and what makes it even better is that I am blessed to be able to be at home for my children.

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful women.
We are all mother's because we have blessed a child's life one way or another, whether it is our own child's or someone elses.

I had a great mother's day!  Jason was in Utah but Savannah took charge and before I got out of bed the kids made me a poster with all their hands on it. Then they all made me cards and had other cards from school.  Then I got a special card from Austin that he made in Nursery that had his hand prints on it.  He was so excited to tell me how he made.  I love my children and so glad I get to be their mom.

Tulip Time

We decided to go down to the Pella Tulip Festival on Saturday, even though it has been snowing.  Last year we didn't go because the tulips all bloomed early and were already dead by the time the festival started and now this year they haven't all opened up yet, but it had been 4 years since we last went (Olivia was 1 1/2) so we decided to go anyway.

It was a nice little trip down, fun to spend time with just us and our kids.  We watched some of the parade, ate little pancakes (don't know the real name for them), brought home lost of pastries, saw the tulips, and played at the park...oh and had a snowball fight with the little amount of snow left.

Austin's fine, just was mad that we made him walk part of the way.

My view

This was my view today (me walking while the kids rode their bikes) and I loved every minute of it.  Being with my kids brings me so much joy, I miss them being little but it's moments like this that make them growing up okay.  It was such a nice day!

Baby Mason

Jeff and Rachael had their little baby on March 29th, they named him Mason James.

(I forgot they even had a baby until Katie sent me a picture of Jace and Mason and I had to ask myself who the other baby was.  So I called Jeff and gave him a hard time for never sending me any pictures.  Finally they sent some over, I guess that's what kind of happens with your 3rd baby and trying to build a new house. :) )

We can't wait to see him this summer and take our own pictures.

Life

I feel like I haven't posted in a long time, but not too much has been going on, just life in general...School, the gym, preschool, carpooling, cleaning, cooking, watching kids, baths, bedtime, reading book, Jason working, going on date (yes we really have been doing this), Church, Relief Society meeting and activities, Activity days for Savannah, dance, paying bill, TV, computer, playing with friends, taking down the rest of the Christmas lights (yes Jason just took those down a few weeks ago), fertilizing the grass, jumping on the tramp and riding bikes (when the weather is warm enough) and waiting for the weather to warm up so we can do more things outside. I'm sure there is more but life just goes on every day and I really don't think about what we are doing until we do something out of the ordinary...but we are enjoying life either way.

perler beads

One of Olivia's favorite things to do in preschool is perler beads.  She makes one every time her teacher has it available during centers.  Now every time I see one it reminds me of her. :)  These are just a few of her creations.  My favorite is the one she brought home for me, the letters M O M.
