DANCE!

After the recital with the rose from her dad.

Savannah had her 1st DANCE RECITAL on June 10th and 11th. She did a GREAT JOB! She said she was only scared for a minute right before her first dance but after that she was fine and LOVE IT!

She did a tap dance and a ballet dance each lasting about 2-3 minutes. The whole recital was almost 3 1/2 hours and of course her first dance was the 5th one and her second dance was 8th from the last so lucky us we got to sit through almost the whole thing with 3 little kids...luckily Jason just got an iphone from work so that kept him busy. And needless to say just Savannah and I went on Saturday (I helped backstage with Savannah's class that day.)

new picture

Jason and I don't have many pictures together... since we don't go anywhere fun together anymore to actually take pictures, but I wanted another picture to change on the side of the blog since that one is 2 years old so I had Savannah take a few.

What I found in the process is

1- that I am looking OLD

2- I need to lose weight (I will have to post about that later).

3-That I still love the man next to me in the picture.

Just so you can see... and give you a good laugh here are two pictures the first picture is of Jason and I when we were dating December 1998 (yes that is Jason I have had people ask me if that is him of not) and the other was today June 2011 (I know it is kind of washed out, I did that on purpose :))

Friends

Our friends the Allred's came back to the great state of Iowa for a few days and we got to spend a little bit of time with them. It was so much fun to see them again and the kids seemed to just pick up where they left off. Thanks for taking time out to see us, we had a great time.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to take a picture of 9 kids ranging from age 6 to 17 months by yourself?
