On the Move

My baby is on the move. Olivia has been crawling for a week now and is loving it. She can now get her own toys and get into things she is not supposed to, so she is having a great time. As for me as long as she doesn't go for the stairs we are okay. (She really wants to stand, every time I try to set her down she stiffen and wants to just stand there. We will work more on that later.)

My mom gave a a subscription to "Family Fun" magazine last year and I love it. It has so many fun things to make with your kids. They had these cute cupcakes that look like corn on the cob and since we live in Iowa and corn is a favorite of ours I decided to make them. I think they turned out pretty cute and really easy to make.

One more thing I have to say is, I love the weather right now in Iowa, it has been PERFECT!

Have a wonderful day wherever you are.

Raccoon River Park

I just love the Raccoon River Park, it has different things to do (swings, slides, sand, water, etc... ) and my kids love it. They have a water area where the kids can run though, but in the two years I have lived here the water has only been on once when I have gone. The other day I tried again, yeah it was on (I was just as excited as the kids). Savannah loved it and jumped right in, Madilynn didn't really like it but loved the river. They would have played there all day.

What is your favorite park to go to?

Reflections of Christ

My sister-in-law sent me this in an email and I thought I would share.

For many years the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mesa, Arizona) has had exhibits on the temple grounds during the Easter season. This year, there was also a 'Reflections of Christ' photography exhibit in the Mesa Temple Visitor's Center. The photographer was given permission to photograph Pageant cast members for the exhibit. They traveled to various locations in Arizona that the photographer felt looked like the places in Israel where the events took place and recreated the scenes. The photographer worked with a few other individuals to put together a 5 minute slide show which includes every image from the exhibit set to the hymn 'Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.' Just remember when you're watching the video that the photographs are real, they aren't paintings! Incredible!
Remember to maximize the video so you can see it full screen. You can expand the screen to fit your entire computer.

baseball, 8 months and crafty

Jason started his rotations today so life is now back to "normal". He is rotating in Pella, IA doing his general surgery rotation. It is 5:30pm and I haven't heard from him yet so hopefully he is doing ok. General Surgery is something he has considered going into so he was excited to go try it out. I hope all the 3rd years are having a great time out in the field.

Friday night we had a family night out and went to the Iowa Cubs baseball game. It was lots of fun and after they had great fireworks.

Saturday my baby turned 8 months old and today we went to doctor since we missed he 6 month appointment do to the fact that we were in Utah. They said she looks great.
Weight: 19 lbs 10 oz (75%) Height: 28 1/4 " (90%) Head Cir: 18" (90%)

I also got ambitious today and made some flower clips for my girls hair. My cute sister-in-law gave Olivia some when she was born and I have loved them so I decided to see if I could make some. I think they turned out pretty good.

Do you get crafty? What do you make?

June/July Summary

Okay our Anniversary is over. It has been a long time since I have posted so here is a quick summary of the last part of our trip to Utah.

Treehouse Museum, in Ogden. It is a really cute place and was not expensive, Savannah could have stayed there all day.

Roy Aquatic Center

It has lots of areas for kids to play. It even had a waterslide, that Savannah went down by herself.

Jason needed a break from studying so we went and saw Indiana Jones. It was lots of fun, Jason and I haven't been to a movie for a very long time. I thought it was good, a little fake but it was funny and it was good for Jason to stop thinking about boards for a couple of hours

Dinosaur Park. Fun place for kids to learn about dinosaurs.

Kids growing up way to fast. While we were gone. Madi got a new tooth and is talking all the time. Olivia got two new teeth, learned how to rollover and sit up.

Muller Park Canyon, Jason's late birthday party with his family

Boards, aren't we all glad those are over!!!!!!!!!!!

It is always fun to go to Bear Lake, I have been going up there every summer since I was a kid. My grandpa has a cabin up there and now my dad has built one. He has been working on it for 2 years and it is almost done. We have been staying in it since the inside is all done. It is so much fun and I hope that the tradition of going to Bear Lake will carry on with my children. I just wish I could have skied, it has been 2 years since I have done it and now the one year I am not pregnant the water was not smooth, but I did get some great tubing in. :)

Catching up with family and just being together. (the best part.)

Hill Air Force Base

Park City, a three day get away for Jason and I. We had a great time, ALONE. We went to Olympic Park, the Outlets, road the Alpine Slide and Roller Coaster. The roller coaster was so much fun, do it if you are ever in Park City. We should have skipped the slide and done the coaster twice. It was great!

Three new babies in our family

Joshua Jeffrey born July 12th

Cole Russell born July 22nd

Mia Kierstin born July 23rd

(Jason wanted me to add that he really didn't wear the same shirt both days, we just went to see both babies on the same day.)

Golfing. Jason's uncle runs a golf course out at Stansbury Park so him and his brother, went out there a few time to play some golf and spend time together.

Farmington, UT Parade and Festival Days. The night before they had a bike parade for all the little kids. They decorated their bikes and rode around a walking trail, led by a policeman on a motorcycle, then they had popcicles after. Savannah loved it!

Lagoon

Hogle Zoo

Music and the Spoken Word

Ogden Temple

Sleepovers

popcicles

lots of playing with cousins and spoiling by grandparents (thanks moms and dads).

We had a wonderful trip and give it a thumbs up! Thanks to everyone for all they did for us while we were visiting. It was so much fun to see everyone again and spend time together.

We had a great flight home. Our kids did really well and we all got our own seats again, which was a great blessing.

Besides missing her friends, Savannah really wanted to go to the "hippo"(the play area at the Jordan Creek Mall) so that is one of the first things we did when we got home.
