Spring Break

Spring Break is a little different here.  Instead of one long week they have 2 four day weekends and this year with Easter being early one of the weekends ended up being 5 days.

Jason took the 1st weekend off and we went to Sioux Falls and then the next weekend we just did things here in town.

SIOUX FALLS

 

Going to the Mall and seeing the Easter Bunny...Savannah was scared and we laughed the whole time.

We went and saw the movie "Zootopia".

Visited the Sioux Falls Children's Museum

 

Jason had never seen the Falls before so we went and walked around for a bit

 

Then Friday Night we went to a Sky Force basketball game.  We had great seats and they kids all had a fun time watching a live basketball game.

 

ABERDEEN

 

 

We had awesome seats at the Circus that came to town.  It is really fun. Businesses around town by tickets for all the Elementary kids so they all have an opportunity to go and see it.  The kids absolutely loved it and could not stop talking about it.  We will definitely go next year.

 

 

Then Saturday we went the Y and swam for a few hours.  Austin could not stop playing basketball,  he played almost the whole time we were there and he made some great shots.

interesting fact

Since living away from family we have driven back to Utah on an average of once a year.  Some years we flew back and some years we went twice and one year we didn't go back at all.
The other day as we were driving up to Fargo we were talking about how many time we did drive to Utah in our van, how many miles it was and then ended up with how many hours and days we spent in the car driving to and from Utah.  It was kind of interesting what we came up with.

1100 miles back (Utah to Iowa) (the last time it was back to South Dakota)
that is approximately 22000 miles

But what is even better/worse is the hours spent in the car...
16 hours each way
that is 32 hours each time, 10 times which = 320 hours
320/24 hours in a day = 13 days in the car

Inside our new house

It's been 8 months since we moved in and here are the pictures of the inside of the house.  It is starting to feel more and more like home.  We are still changing things as we find better ways to put them but for most part we are settled and doing well.
