Austin's thermal blankets that he doesn't sleep without

Madi's "yellow blanket" she loves to sleep with

The "Barbie high heels" shoes that I bought for Savannah when she was 3 for $2.50 at Target. All the girls have loved them...as you can tell

Olivia's dress that she asks to wear to church ever Sunday. It is getting a little small so I was about to get rid of it when one Sunday she came out of primary with the strap tied in the back... The strap broke...so now that is really this last Sunday she got to wear it.

"this is the best day ever!"

Doesn't take much to make "the best day ever" just let your kids sleep on the floor one night.
When they saw the bed they couldn't stop giggling, then I heard Olivia announce, "this is the best day ever!" ... What a sweet sound. :)

her own

Olivia has been bike less for the last few weeks, Madi's bike got the training wheels taken off and Austin has declared Olivia bike "mine" as he puts it. We have started taking walks around the block and I always feel bad because Olivia is riding a little big wheel type bike which she has to pedal 4 times more then the other girls and still can't keep up so I have been looking for her a bike and found on on Craigslist. We picked it up tonight and even though it was cold and getting dark they all had to get on their bikes. She had the biggest smile on her face when she started riding it and it didn't go away...she kept saying, "I can go fast like Sanna and Madi!"
I can already tell that it's going to be a day of riding bikes at our house and trips around the block tomorrow.

Preschool Field Trip

Madi went on a Field Trip today for Preschool to the Apple Orchard.
It was a little cold and had rained right before they went but she still had such a great time and loved riding on the bus. She told me everything she did...more than once. (corn pool, hayride, apple tasting, goats on top of their house, playing in the old school house and the bus ride home signing songs.)
Here she is in her apple shirt, that she picked out to wear, and the apples they gave them at the orchard.

Remembering 9/11

Photo: 2001 The Record (Bergen County, N.J.) Thomas E. Franklin)

I can't believe it's been 10 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Like most of you, I remember where I was and what I was doing when I found out about what was happening and how scary it was. But I also remember after it all cleared one good thing happened on that day and weeks and months to follow...our country came together and were united "One Nation Under God". I remember the patriotism that was all around and what a wonderful feeling that was. It is sad that something bad has to happen for us to remember things like that, but I hope I will ALWAYS remember that this is a promised land and that our Founding Fathers created this nation with God at their side.
