Easter 2010
(I don't think the bunny knew who was taking the picture)
Tradition to ride the Valley West Mall Train.
Easter Morning the kids woke up and found that the Easter Bunny had hidden their baskets along with the eggs. They had a great time looking for their baskets and eggs. Then since it was General Conference we just hung out all day and watched Conference and ate lots of candy.
Do your kids look for Easter Eggs the same way they look for their shoes or are they better when looking for eggs? Our kids look the same way no matter what they are looking for. We thought they would be better looking for eggs...guess not.

Riding
Savannah learned how to ride a two-wheeler bike last week.
It all started when I bought her a new big bike so Madi could have her old bike. Well our first family walk (Sunday evening) after I fixed all the bikes with trainning wheels she bent the trainning wheel the first 100 yards and I ended up holding her up the rest of the time, until towards the end of the walk I decided to see what she could do. I held on to the back of her seat and ran with her and eventually let go... she actually rode by herself and then Jason had to step in because I couldn't run as fast as she could ride. But in the end the bike was too big for her to get on and off of.
So on Friday (almost a whole week later) I decided to take the trainning wheels off Madi's bike (sorry Madi) and we went out on a new big open street with no houses or cars and I taught her how to ride. She didn't need much help at all. She could balance immediately and even could brake and get off so the thing we really "practiced" was getting started all by herself. By the time the sun went down she had it. She is so proud of herself and so are Jason and I. Now if we only had a place for her to ride all the time.
PS Then this week she taught herself how to turn and ride on the grass.
Good Job Savannah! We are so proud of you and all you practicing. (I have been trying to teach her that it takes practice to be good at something, that all the dancers, and people she sees on TV practice hard to be good at what they do they just don't try it once and they are done.)

Cape Town
Jason and I went up to my parents cabin at Bear Lake the first weekend we were there. We took Austin with us and my parents had our girls along with my brothers 3 girls who are all the same ages as our 3 girls. (Guess who had more fun.?) We had a great time just hanging out doing nothing. We had never been to Bear Lake in the winter...it was Beautiful!
We went swimming with my family one night and had a great time. The kids love to swim. Don't worry we didn't take Austin in the water. He and I just hung out and watched all the action.
Girls at the Bountiful Temple.
I don't have a picture but my Grandpa Gardner got married on March 13, 2010 in the Bountiful Temple. I am so glad we were in town so we could go and share that moment with him.
We took the girls ice skating at the U.S. Olympic Oval in Kearns. They did a really good job for their first time. Savannah and Madi just took off and did their own thing with their little walkers. Olivia didn't really like it but she keep her skates on the whole time and was able to stand in them with really good balance. Jason and I took a little time to warm up but ended up doing okay. We had a great time and it was need to skate in a place where Olympic Gold Medalist have skated.
Jason and OliviaWe had a early Easter with Jason side of the family. The girls had so much fun with their cousins.
