Ankeny Art Show

Olivia came home with a note the other day that said her ceramic pinch pot that she made in art would be on display at the Ankeny Art Show during the month of April.  She was so excited!  They had a little Open House for all the kids whose art made it in the show so we went over there and found her little dog pinch pot named "Lilly" sitting there on a table with her name by it and everything.

Preschool and Special Olympics

Austin's preschool participated in the 2nd Annual Special Olympics for the school district.  It is for the special needs children and preschool kids in the district.  They got a free tee shirt, broke into groups and moved from station to station, doing activities like bowling, basketball, obstacle course, running, soccer, ribbon twirling, tennis, long jump, batting and ball darts.  The kids absolutely loved it!  I was glad I went to watch.

 

Oh and I almost forgot the best part...the medal, that he was so proud of.

Art Work

Olivia loved doing this project at school.  I think it might be one of her favorites.  We had to throw it away because we can't bring it with us when we move so instead we took a picture so she would always remember it.  (It is a picture of her in a snow globe. Very cute idea)  At the bottom it says.

"If I were trapped in a snow globe I would...

Freeze to death!  I would find wood

to burn a fire.  Brrrrr!  It's cold.  I would

bang on the glass so it will brake it

I will fall asleep."

 

Here is one of my favorite pictures that Austin made.  This is how he draws people...never forgetting the ears.  I just love it!  It just makes me smile!

Ashland Ridge SHOWTIME!



 

The girls decided they wanted to try out for the talent show at the school since it was their last year there.  They worked on a dance but didn't practice enough so instead they decided to sing the "Cupcake Song".  They got in and today performed it in front of the whole school.

They did such a good job and everyone thought it was so cute!

EASTER!

 

 

Our Easter activities this year included:  Breakfast and an Easter Egg hunt with friends at the park on Saturday,

 

coloring Easter eggs,

 

 

 finding eggs and baskets Easter morning

 

  and watching General Conference... Can't get much better than that!

DISNEYWORLD!!!

For Spring Break we surprised the kids with a trip to Disney World.  We had such a great time!

Family Fun Night!

 

Tonight was Family Fun Night at the school and even though Savannah didn't win a basket like last year we still had fun.
