gingerbread houses

The kids had been begging me to do gingerbread houses but buying all the candy for them just cost too much money.  One day I found a kit at Wal-Mart that had 4 little houses, candy and frosting included.  It was perfect!

Happy Birthday Savannah!

Our baby keeps growing up.  It's sad I'm starting to forget what it was like to be a new mom and the times my kids were little.

She had a great birthday.  A few days before she went with her dad to "Smoky D's" for her date.  And of course loved it Jason said she was sucking her ribs clean....that's our Savannah.
Her birthday was on Sunday and Jason had to work so we waited until he got home before we at "Café Rio", opened presents and had cake.
Then Monday she took ice cream to her school class to celebrate.

Her favorite color orange
Her favorite primary song is "As for Me and My House"

favorite dinner is Ribs and Café Rio

favorite book "Dork Diaries" (she got one for her birthday)

her best friend Ava and Sara R.

favorite thing to do at school is reading, lunch and recess

she likes going to primary and learning about the gospel.  She bears her testimony almost every Fast Sunday.
She is enjoying 3rd grade but noticing that things are getting harder.

She is a good big sister.

She always tries to do what is right.

She has started basketball and is enjoying it so far.

She loves her siblings, parents and extended family.

We love you Savannah!

I started a new tradition where I hang up the kids birthday pictures from the past.  Here are Savannah's.  It's fun to see them and remember those times, but sad to see how much they have grown.

Ward Christmas Party

We went to our Ward Christmas Party tonight, "A Night in Bethlehem" and had a very nice time.  The decorations were beautiful (I wish I had pictures).  Everyone dressed up and we had food like they would have when Christ was in Bethlehem (cheese, figs, fruit, meat pie, cookies with spices)  Everyone brought canned food for their taxes then got 5 coins to pay for their food and toys at the different booths at the market place.

Happy Birthday Olivia!

Olivia turned 6 years old today.  She had a wonderful day!  I took her to lunch at "the soup place",  She took candy canes for her birthday treat,  she got a birthday sticker, hat, pencil and bouncy ball at school, which she thought was so neat.  We had her favorite for dinner, tacos.  She opened presents and ate her bubble gum machine cake.

A few nights before she went on a date with her dad to "Tasty Taco" and then got a treat at the gas station.  She even got to sit in the front seat in his car, which she thought was so fun.

Santa

We went to the dollar movies yesterday and after were walking around the mall, which was totally empty (which we were really surprised since it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving) and ran into Santa just waiting for kids.  I didn't even have my camera but luckily Jason had his phone.

Austin asked him for a stuffed animal reindeer and a magic ball
Savannah asked for a magic ball
Olivia asked him America girl doll clothes, boots and stuffed animal
Madilynn asked for an American girl doll.
