Primary Program

Today was the Primary Program, one of the best Sacrament Meeting during the year.  It's always fun to watch the kids sing and say their parts.  This year our girls (and me) sang the 1st verse "Follow His Light" for their part.  We have been practicing for a few weeks, so when we got up there they did a great job, they sang loud (especially Madi) and they weren't even scared. 

Trunk or Treat

Friday Night we had a Trunk-or-Treat at the church.  It was cold but the kids had fun getting and eating candy.

Tuesday morning our neighbor, across the street (that we really don't know, don't even know his name)  knocked on our door and said he had a really nice bunk bed that his twin girls used but they didn't need it anymore, he was ready to load it up and take it to Good Will but really didn't want to give it away to just anyone and he wanted to know if we wanted it, he didn't want money he just wanted to give it to someone he knew and he knew we had little kids, he said if we didn't want it he was going to ask our other neighbors that have little kids.  I couldn't pass that up and I helped him move it over to our garage.  We had talked a little bit about moving the beds around since Austin is almost 3 and still in the crib and Olivia is almost 5 and still in a toddler bed, so this worked out perfect.

 

That night we took down the crib that has been up for almost eight year and set up the bunk beds.  Olivia moved into the room with Austin since they don't have to get up early in the morning and Savannah and Madilynn are still in the same room but they switched beds, Madi on the top and Savannah on the bottom now.  Austin is now in a "big boy bed" and Olivia officially has graduated to a normal bed. 

 

 

The kids love the change, so thanks to our nameless neighbor for thinking of us, it definitely helped us out.

pumpkin patch

Last night we went to pick our pumpkins.  We found a new pumpkin patch since the one we have gone to in the past is so far away now and it cost too much money.  Our neighbor mentioned a free pumpkin patch but didn't know much about it so I looked it up and decided to go, since it's free and close to home (in our city to be exact).  It had lots of fun stuff for the kids to do; it had a corn pool, a hay maze, animals to pet, bean bag throw, a cannon, and the kids favorite, a huge tire swing and of course pumpkins to pick.
 

 It was a very warm, beautiful night for picking pumpkins.  We got there kind of late so we had to hurry and find the pumpkins before it got dark, but we found them and then went and saw the animals and let the kids play on the tire swing.  Next year we'll have to plan for more time.

 

 



 

 



Fall in the country

 

I love this time of year and I love that we live so close to the beautiful country.

gold medal

 

Madi finished her soccer games Saturday.  They had a great season (6 weeks) and she did a great job, she really got in there and played hard every game.  After the game her coaches (not the program) gave everyone on the team a soccer medal and cute soccer sugar cookie.  Madi was so proud of her "gold medal", she wanted a picture with it, she hangs it on our fridge, she took it school today for sharing and she even declared that now she wants a "gold medal for Christmas", I told her she just got one so now she doesn't need to ask for one. :)
