Jason's Vacation started

After we were in Utah 2 1/2 weeks Jason flew in Saturday, August 4th.  I picked him up from the airport then we went on a date to the new City Creek Mall in Salt Lake.  We were all glad to finally see him and he was glad to finally get a break from work.

The first part of the week we spend it with Jason's family: hanging out, seeing Grandparents, going shopping at the Park City outlets and IKEA.

We also went to Grandpa Dave's work in Salt Lake and went to lunch.  The kids had a great time seeing him and where he works.

Hanging out with Family...Making memories

And finally getting a nap.  We had been going and going all the time but Austin wouldn't take a nap and every time I tried he would get out of the porta crib...for some reason the one at my mom's house he dared to get out of and thought it was really cool so napping was a fight every time but on this particular day sleep got the best of him. :)  Of course it was a half an hour before I was supposed to go to my friends house.

Friday, August 3rd, my mom and I took the kids to see the new Disney movie, "BRAVE"

LAGOON!

Kierstin took us to Lagoon on Wednesday, August 1st.  We had a great time spending time with cousin.  Thanks Kierstin and Reed for a FUN day!

It was a great day and wasn't really crowded at all.  The kids thought it was great that they could go on rides by themselves and they even had some roller coaster for their size that adults could enjoy also.  Austin even rode a big roller coaster twice even though he wasn't so sure of it the first time.  I had to hold his stomach and when I let go he grabbed my arm and put it back on.
Savannah even rode The Spider, even though she was crying in line, Max, Mikaela and I assured her she would like it when it was over, which she did...for the most part.

Max and Madi where buddies all day!

Brandon and his family have Season passes so they came for a couple hours that night but couldn't stay long since they had school the next day.  We had fun with them too, minus getting stuck on the White Roller Coaster.  I had just taken Savannah on it (her face was priceless as we dropped down that first hill...she was terrified and after said "it goes a lot faster than it looks from the parking lot.") and Brandon and Kristie showed up with their kids so Brandon and I took Paige, Riley and Savannah back on it so they girls could ride the big rides together.  On our way up the 1st hill it stopped twice both time them assuring us that they would get us off.  Finally we got up and over the hill and rode the ride with no problems until the end when instead of stopping slowly we came to a complete stop.  Then after sitting there watching the maintenance guy come from below and the Manager guy with the walkie talkie telling us that he would get us off momentarily trying to push the thing...which didn't even budge, they got out the huge key that popped our set belts off and walked us along the side of the track back to the Exit.  It was quite the experience on I had never had before.

Austin had a great time when Owen showed up because now he had a buddy to ride the rides with.  It was so fun to watch them hang out together.  I guess the 1st ride they went on they held hands the whole time (I was on the Roller Coaster but Kristie got a picture)...how sweet is that!

Jacob, Jason nephew, happened to be working that night so it was fun to see him there.

Roy Aquatic Center

We spend one day (August 27th) at the Roy Aquatic Center with some cousins (Josh, Tate and Bailee).
Austin loved going down the little blue slide by himself.  Savannah was just tall enough to ride the big slide by herself and loved doing it.  Olivia liked practicing her swimming and playing with Josh and Madi went off and found a friend while she practiced her swimming.
