Christmas in Pictures

Christmas Eve dinner

Santa came!

Waiting while dad takes pictures

We had a wonderful Christmas, one that will not be soon forgotten. We don't have family close and we miss them very much especially during the holidays but we feel very lucky to have 4 healthy, wonderful children, a job, a home, each other and the knowledge that we have a Savior.

sweet!

Looking though Savannah's school folder I found this and here is the conversation I had with her.

M: "What's this?"

S: a little embarrassed "I forgot that was in there."
M: "Well what is it?"

S: "I almost started crying at school today."

M: "Why?"

S: "Gabby was making fun of me because I did my math sentence wrong and then Ellie wouldn't let me play with her. So at inside recess I made this, because I was sad."

M: "That is very nice. Do you feel better now?"

S: "Yes"

M: " and it really didn't matter if did Ellie wouldn't play with you or that Gabby laughed at you. You are okay now right."

S: with a smile "YES!"

M: "GOOD!"

It made me sad that she was made fun of and that kids wouldn't play with her but that is life and this is only the beginning. What made me very happy is that is thought of me and knew that I would be there for her no matter what was happening in her life and that I love her and that she could turn to me for comfort.

As I was reading the note she wrote I couldn't help but think about the Savior, Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost who are there for us no matter what and love us unconditionally. I know this because I have turned to them many times when I have felt sad and have felt their love for me. What a wonderful gift to know this truth.

Santa!
